Most four-year colleges require that students submit SAT or ACT scores. Here's how each of these tests is structured: The SAT has three major sections: math, reading and writing (which includes a written essay). The ACT has four major sections: English, math, reading and science (and an optional essay section).
SAT
SAT Results:
- You can access your SAT results by logging on to your account at collegeboard.org .
- If you do NOT have an account, you can create a Create Collegeboard Account.
- Compare your old and new SAT scores.

FREE online SAT prep are available through Khan Academy. You can link your College Board and Khan Academy accounts to improve the effectiveness of your practice.
Students interested in some summer preparation for the Fall exams should know that Kaplan Test Prep is available at http://www.kaplanatschool.com/kas.aspx or by calling 1-800-527-8378.
ACT
ACT® Academy™ is a new FREE online ACT test prep platform which provides students with personalized study plans to help prepare for the ACT® test.
