Believe You Can Achieve

Community Service

Message from the Counseling Department

PLEASE NOTE:  Please ensure a valid email address is entered for the person who is to verify your hours.  If an email address is unknown, a signed paper document must be brought to the Counseling Office after the activity is entered so the work can be accepted.  We want everyone to receive the credit, and award, you earned and deserve.  As always, come to the Counseling Office if you have questions or concerns.

Community Service Requirements

Pearl River High School has a program requirement that students must achieve forty (40) hours of community service.  Every school year, students who earn 25 hours or more are eligible for a community service award.

The deadline for community service awards consideration for grades 9, 10 and 11 is May 6, 2025; and the deadline for seniors is May 13, 2025. You must have at least 25 hours in the current school year to be considered for an award.

Community Service Announcement

Pearl River High School uses an online tracking and reporting system for all service hours called x2VOL that is accessible through Naviance Student.  This system eliminates the need for paper forms and centralizes the information.  X2VOL allows students to enter their service hours online at any time, as well as check and register for volunteer opportunities, receive reminders about the opportunities and print a service hour log that can be used as a reference for college applications and the National Honor Society.

Current hours have been transferred to the new system for those who have completed services.  From this point on, all service hours need to be entered into the x2VOL system.  Paper forms should no longer be submitted to the Counseling Office but can be used as verification for hours served.  The students must register as soon as possible.  Please follow the instructions or click on the links below for a step-by-step tutorial and video.

Please click for x2Vol FAQs.
