Spotlight on PRHS

School and District News

  • 2023-24 District Calendar Approved 3/14/23

    At the March 14th meeting, the Board of Education approved the 2023-24 District Calendar. Two Superintendent's Conference Days are scheduled for Wednesday, August 30th and Thursday, August 31st.  The first day of school for students will be Tuesday, September 5, 2023.  The Pearl River School District calendar is based on 184 school days: 181 days of pupil instruction plus 3 Superintendent's Conference/Professional Development Days. In anticipation of emergency closings, we designate the following potential vacation days as snow make-up days: 

    2023-24 Snow Make-up Days
    Day 1 – May 28, 2024
    Day 2 – May 24, 2024
    Day 3 – April 24, 2024

  • 28th Annual Deja Vu Senior Dance 4/22/23

    We're Back!  Our 28th Annual Deja Vu Dance for senior citizens residing in Pearl River School District will be held this year on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM in PRHS's gymnasium. 

    Registration is absolutely required by Friday, April 7th!  You can register via one of two ways:

    (1) Complete the online form:  Deja Vu Registration 2023

    (2) Print out the attached registration form and give to your PR Club president or drop off at our District Administration Building located at 135 W. Crooked Hill Rd.

  • New 988 Three-Digit National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Number

    988 is the new, three-digit number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL) available nationwide. This number serves as a direct connection to caring support for anyone in mental health distress. This may include thoughts of suicide, substance use crisis and/or emotional distress. 988 is a free service available to any and everyone. By contacting 988 by chat, text or phone, individuals will be connected to a trained crisis counselor. Interpretation services are available in over 150 languages.

    Pearl River School District aims to ensure that our school community is informed of the resources available to anyone who is in need of an immediate connection to highly-trained, local crisis counselors that provide emotional support and assistance for behavioral health crisis and suicide prevention, as well as connections to services in the community for needed support and recovery.
